How long does postage take?

For artworks, handling is same day and you can expect your artwork to be delivered within 7 to 14 days. Acrylic and Aluminium Enlargements take longer, due to the printing and laminating process. Orders can be expedited for an additional fee which includes express shipping.

How long is my warranty for? what does it cover?

*Lifetime warranty* covers both artworks and Limited Edition Prints for ten (10) years. The warranty covers any fading, peeling, cracks or other faults/damages of the products, not incurred by the customer, while the care instructions have been followed. Fine Art Prints come with a 5 year warranty, Spot-UV Posters with 2 year warranty. *some fading is unavoidable when enlargements are placed outdoors in direct sunlight for long periods, and is not recommended nor covered by warranty*  Ilford and Canson prints require framing, ideally behind UV resistant glass. Ilford and Canson prints showing signs of improper wall mounting (as in use of sticky tape or bluetack applied directly to the print to adhere to a wall, without proper framing) voids the warranty.* For more information on warranty terms visit the Warranty page. Link at the bottom of each webpage.

How can you offer such a long warranty period?

Fine art prints are made of cotton/cellulose and pure cotton archival papers rated from 40 to 100 years. Professional photography printing services are used, employing Giclée print methods with archival pigment inks capable of wide spectrum colour reproduction, high contrast and detail. Artworks are completed using technical knowledge that prevents layers of pigment and adhesive from separating and flaking off over time, although eventually cracks will appear over many years, such as those seen now on renaissance era paintings. All artworks are created using high quality mediums and are sealed with professional grade varnish to further protect it over time. Microscopy Enlargements that are produced on ChromaLuxe aluminium and Laminated Acrylic sheets by specialty print services involve patented technical processes, all using archival pigment inks and featuring water and UV resistance.

Why shop with us?

A lot time and passion has gone into creating each Microscopy Enlargement, and each is, in its own right, a work of art. Not only my own time, developed knowledge and skill has come together to create the Enlargements but many other aspects. To start off microscopes aren't cheap, especially microscopes capable of capturing high fidelity images. My microscopes also require servicing to function well enough to capture images of sellable quality. the necessary cameras are also not cheap, nor the many other tools required in the lab-work and photography processes I conduct. Then there's the cost for manufacturing the laminated Enlargement, and all associated costs of e-commerce and marketing. In the end, your paying for the cost of developing the Enlargement, a percentage of the initial cost required to capture the images and make them available for purchase and finally a one off fee for owning a copy of one of my photomicrography images, which are each my own original works of art and my Intellectual property, requiring many of my hours and technical skills to create. Anyone can buy a camera and take some photos, many people create artworks using paint on canvas, but the Enlargements I offer are especially unique, require a complex mix of skills across many fields to create and you will have a hard time finding another business providing microscopy prints at the same large format sizes with as much detail and wide range of image focus. Personally I have only seen similar photomicroscopy enlargements three times in my life, one in a university science wing and the others in a research wing of a hospital in VIC, most likely created by the staff working there, and definitely not for sale to the general public.   Since writing the above, I have found some competitors, but their print sizes are restricted most likely due to more basic and less time consuming techniques. I also continue to strive to increase my print catalogue, until I have a collection of every human tissue and cell type, along with a catalogue of bacteria, fungi plant and insect microscopy prints.
